Housing

There are three accommodation options for students in Australia:

  • On Campus- College hostels (self-catered or fully catered)
  • Off Campus- Renting a flat / apartment
  • Homestay- Living with local Families near the institution.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Part-time Employment

Students can work up to 20 hours a week during their course and 40 hours per week full-time during vacation if they have been granted a work permit. On an average, a student can earn around 12 AUD/hour.

VISA

  • Student visa application in Australia is processed manually (paper based visa).
  • Students can submit documents any time within 4 months period, prior to the date of commencement of the program.
  • Generally it takes 4 to 6 weeks for SVP and 6 to 8 weeks processing time for Non SVP category visas.

Skilled – Graduate Visa is a 2 years visa given to students on completion of 2 years of Study in Australia. Skilled Graduate Visa Holders may apply for any of the following visas within 18 months duration.

  • Provisional Skilled – Regional sponsored visa (Subclass 487)
  • Permanent Skilled – Independent visa (Subclass 885)
  • Permanent Skilled – Sponsored Visa (Subclass 886)

One can also apply for an employer sponsored visa at any point of time.

Post Completion of Course

Students are eligible to work in Australia up to four years post study, depending on the level of education they have completed in an Australian university or college. ?Earlier, students were only allowed to work for 18 months post study that too if they had completed a select skilled occupation. The policies have completely changed now, all graduates, regardless of field of study are eligible for:

  • 2 year post study work upon completion of a bachelor degree
  • 3 year post study work upon completion of a master?s degree
  • 4 year post study work upon completion of a doctorate degree

Intakes to Study in Australia Australia primarily has intakes in two months one in February and other in July, with few popular universities offering multiple intake option in September & November. It is recommended that you start making applications ideally 7 – 8 months before the intake. University generally takes 4 – 6 weeks to process the admission forms and applications. Courses Offered

Entry Requirement and Eligibility Criteria Undergraduate – Bachelors

A sound academic record in High School Certificate or 12 years of schooling mandatory.

Cost of Living As per Australian High Commission Visa Guidelines: The cost living for Applicant is around AUD 18,000 per year Work Scope During Course Part Time Jobs – “Live while you learn” Australia offers high quality of living standard in the world.
